The Texas Facilities Commission administers the State Surplus Property Program for the State of Texas.

This program disposes salvage and surplus personal property from Texas state agencies and some political subdivisions and receives abandoned property from Texas Airports. The public is invited to shop at our retail store in Austin, TX, or bid on online auctions held throughout the state.

State Surplus Store in Austin

The State Surplus Store receives new surplus items every day!

In addition to state surplus vehicles, furniture, office equipment and supplies, and small electronics, the Austin Store also sells abandoned airport property such as pocketknives, multi-purpose tools, jewelry, sunglasses, watches, luggage, and toys.

Inventory changes daily. Since stock changes daily, a complete list of the inventory is not available. Commonly available items include vehicles, furniture, office equipment and supplies, kitchen equipment, electronics, pocketknives, jewelry, sunglasses, watches, luggage and toys.

Online Auctions

Online Auctions are held on an as-needed basis. Auctions feature specialty equipment (including heavy equipment and vehicles from TXDOT) and/or items located outside the Austin area. Auctions are conducted by Public Surplus.
