The two-story, 27,000-square-foot facility will expand primary, family, and pediatric healthcare services for the growing population of Guadalupe County and the surrounding area.

Project Overview
Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) has been serving the residents of Guadalupe County for more than sixty-five years. Since 2020, the county seat of Seguin has seen a  thirty percent population increase and is listed as one of the fastest growing cities in Texas and the U.S. To meet the healthcare needs for the growing area, in 2023 the Eighty-eighth Texas Legislature appropriated $10 million in House Bill No. 1, for the development of a new primary care medical facility. GRMC provided $1 million for the project. The estimated construction cost is $10.6 million. Under this strategy, the Texas Facilities Commission is managing the construction of the facility while GRMC will encumber the cost and manage the installation of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and telecom.

The new facility, named the Laurel Medical Office Building, will be located on Medical Drive in the Medical Arbor complex in Seguin, Texas, directly across the street from the Willow 7Medical Office Building 1. The two-story, 27,000-square-foot facility will have the capacity for 14 primary care providers, as well as convenient outpatient lab and imaging services. The Laurel Medical Office Building will provide primary care, family practice, and pediatric care to patients throughout GRMC’s multi-county service area.
